pericopes “what what”
Pericopes è il pluripremiato progetto di jazz del pianista Alessandro Sgobbio e del sassofonista Emiliano Vernizzi e propone una musica costruita su moduli e cicli tematici che guardano alla composizione europea e si articolano in un intenso interplay, presentando differenti background e sonorità. Il progetto, che ha già ricevuto significativi consensi al di fuori dall’Italia, ha avuto il suo battesimo discografico nel 2012 e da allora l’intensa l’attività del duo lo ha visto partecipare a prestigiose rassegne internazionali quali Umbria Jazz Festival, Jazz Burg (Germania), International Jazz Day 2015 (Parigi), Parma Jazz Frontiere e Umbria Jazz Winter. Pericopes è stato vincitore assoluto, nel 2012, del premio “Padova Carrarese” indetto dalla rivista Musica Jazz e presieduto da Paolo Fresu.
