Pericopes is a cleverly unorthodox trio, carrying an aesthetic that is outside of strict jazz principles, inspired by post rock, indie rock and punk jazz elements, as documented by These Human Beings (Alfa Music). The rhythmic-harmonic system may vaguely suggest elements of the Bad Plus, EST or Tingvall Trio.
