Legacy manifestly winks at contemporary jazz, impregnated of avantgarde undertones whose common intention — kind of a trademark for Pericopes+1 — is to constantly search for innovation, courage and intellectual honesty.
STEFANO DENTICE (ITALIA IN JAZZ – IT)
These 10 original tracks higlight the mutating sound of this group, presenting some evocative ballads but also frenetic rhytmical passages. If Vernizzi is taking care of the foreground parts, Sgobbio uses Fender-Rhodes’ electric soul in order to obtain further esthetic tensions.
